Getting Paid - with Shopit Payments

Getting paid is a crucial part of running any online store.

With Shopit Payments you will pay less than with any other mainstream eCommerce platform like Shopify, BigCommerce, Squarespace and more - we are even lower than Stripe! Our current lowest rate is 1.0% + 10p for every transaction - debit or credit card, personal or corporate card, UK and international cards*.

This is part of our commitment to ensuring that eCommerce is accessible and easy for everyone as possible - and it means you can keep more of your money for design and marketing or buying more stock.

You will be able to receive payments in over 100 currencies, and receive your funds in a  choice of 16 currencies.

*  International transactions may incur a small currency exchange fee at the discretion of the buyers bank 

Apply for your Shopit Payments account


Our service is powered by RMS, who handle the account application and everything beyond that stage. In order to apply you need to:
  1. Go to Settings > Payment Gateways
  2. Click Apply Now
  3. Complete the information requested
    1. You will receive a call within 1-2 working days to verify the information and request anything else (this is know as KYC - Know your Customer)
    2. Once approved, RMS will send you a Merchant ID (MID) and Secret within 3-5 days








Configuring your Payment Gateway

  1. Return to Settings > Payments Gateways
  2. Click Enter Credentials
  3. Ensure the correct sales channel is selected *
  4. Enter your MID and secret 
  5. The Redirect Domain will be your main website address (we automatically add ../checkout/success). Please note: whilst in test/development stage, you can put this to be your longer test url e.g. website1.youstore.shopitsite.com
  6. The gateways default status is disabled, so you will need to go back into the settings and click Enabled for it to appear on the checkout as a payment option.

* You can connect multiple sales channels to the same merchant account, but you do need to notify/apply to RMS for each one

Test Transactions


Whilst you are waiting to receive your account approval, you can test the Shopit system by using our Test Account Details and using some test debit card numbers.

Withdrawing Funds

Once your site is live and you are receiving real orders, you will be able to receive your funds in 3-5 working days.

RMS offer a simple upgrade to Next Day Settlements if you contact them direct, quoting your company name and Merchant ID. Call 01908354500
